Our goal as a church, and as followers of Jesus, is to Build the Kingdom of God.  And that’s what this series, Kingdom Builders, was all about.  These past three weeks we’ve focused on three ways we can build the Kingdom of God:  Everyone gives; everyone welcome; everyone goes.

Acts 13 is a turning point in the Early Church - where believers went from keeping their faith inside the four walls to taking it to the world.  They prayed.  They listened. And they went.  

Acts 13:1-3 NIV

Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers:  Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen (who had been brought up with Herod the tetrach) and Saul.  (2) While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”  (3) So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.

The three qualities of a Missional Church:

• A Praying Church - Missions begins with worship, prayer, and fasting, which fuel a heart for the lost.
• A Listening Church - God speaks through His Word, and we must be attentive to HIs call to action.
• A Going Church - The Church must act, sending people to places where Jesus is not yet known.

The Principle of Human Agency:  God always uses people!

God has opened the door for all of us to go!  Will you step through it?   

Be a PRAYING person.

Be a LISTENING person.

Be a GOING person

1. Of the three topics shared during the Kingdom Builders series (everyone gives; everyone welcomes; everyone goes), which one is the easiest for you to do?  Which is the hardest?
2. One of the Core Values at English Worship is:  We Live Missions.  What do you think that means?
3. The church in Antioch took a bold step in sending out missionaries.  What personal fears or obstacles hold you back from living on mission?
4. Often our lives are filled with so much noise that it’s difficult to hear the voice of God.  What are some of the “loud noises” in your life that might be drowning out His voice?
5. What is one step you can take this week to be an “Open Door” Christian - whether that’s praying with someone, sharing your faith, or being a blessing?
