In this episode the narrator (Wayd) reflects on his decision to resign from his role as an advisor to the board of the 500-Year Legacy Foundation. While he continues to support the project's mission, he feels that he’s unqualified to contribute positively to its future direction. Wayd shares the realization that his personal priorities differ from those of the Foundation and those of his late stepfather, the person who originally envisioned the project. Wayd has chosen to focus on supporting his family and managing the family's trusts, the homestead, and their collective cultural heritage.
