Have you ever put on clothes that used to fit, and they don't feel right anymore? Maybe they're sentimental because they remind you of a different, easier season of your life.
God calls us to "walk in a manner worthy of our calling" and that means putting on Christ, not our past. Jesus calls us to more - he didn't come to make bad people better, he came to make dead people live!
