In this episode of Gunsmoke, a young gunslinger named Andy Travis arrives in Dodge and quickly proves himself deadly fast with a pistol. Matt Dillon tries to steer him toward a better path, convincing him to give up the gun and start a new life. But reputations die hard—and when a bounty hunter named Joe Kite comes to town, Andy's past catches up with him. A tragic ending reminds us that sometimes, the choice to change comes too late.
