This week we are exploring the iconic landmark for EPCOT at Walt Disney World and ride it holds inside, Spaceship Earth. More than just a giant golfball, this opening day attraction is an engineering marvel. In the first episode of this two parter, we discuss the engineering feats behind the ride, as well as Disney's collaboration with the brilliant minds of Ray Bradbury and Buckminster Fuller, whose influence helped bring this ride to life in time for opening day in 1982.
