What drives us to be generous? Gratitude? Guilt? Compassion? Maybe it is as the old phrase goes, "If not for the grace of God, there go I ..."Of course, generosity, or benevolence as it is sometimes called, is not simply limited to monetary gifts. It encompasses a wide range of acts of encouragement.This message, prepared for our last fifth Sunday Missions Emphasis, prayerfully provides for the hope that comes through such acts of benevolence in our church family and through the community around us ... our neighbors, friends and family.
