As we live in an imperfect world we need some rules and laws to combat the worst forms of evil. Both in Jesus’s day and even today, the religious culture then and now had/has its own sets of rules.One of those rules that Jesus flew in the face of was in His claim to be God. The Pharisees accused Him of blasphemy while being unable to legitimately explain the miracles and wonders He did that confirmed it.For us today, the application is simple. We will constantly face disappointment if we try to allow others to define who Christ is rather than to allow His Spirit to reveal Himself to us for who He truly is.
