Romans 11:33, Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and how inscrutable His ways! ----------This week, we complete the four-part mini-series over the Judge, Gideon. In this final installment, we see the events surrounding Gideon's later life. It is a lesson about the magnitude of the choices we make. Even a good choice sometimes has a better option that is also available. For Gideon, those choices has broad consequences for his family and his neighbors.----------Judges, perhaps more than any other book of the Bible, shows us the failure of humanity to live out God's call on our lives. The book's final words sum up the picture: "In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right in his own eyes." (Judges 21:25)
