In one story from the book of Mark, a great storm caused the disciples a lot of fear while Jesus slept in the boat. They woke him out of desperation and He calmed the storm. In their amazement, their faith grew. They came to understand that Jesus with them was bigger than even a vicious storm.----------Of course, a little while later, they found themselves in the midst of another storm. This time, Jesus wasn't with them. Once again, their faith faltered. But the important lesson they would learn was that even though it seemed like they were alone, Christ was aware of their situation and they were still safe with Him.----------It is an important reminder to us that God watches over us, provides for us, protects us, etc. even in those moments when we don't sense His presence.
