🎙️Show Notes

Summary

In this episode, I explore what sattvic eating actually means and why Yoga considers the effect of food on the mind. We look at the three gunas — Sattva, Rajas and Tamas — how these qualities show up in everyday life, and how food can contribute to how we feel physically and mentally.

I also take you into my own kitchen with examples of the grains, pulses, vegetables and spices I regularly use, plus simple meal ideas including mung dal, kitchadi and a warm grain bowl with roasted seasonal vegetables.

For the full practical guide, including recipes, my balanced spice mix and a 5-day sattvic menu, follow the accompanying blog post.
