Rick "RJ" Jullienne and Dale "The Coach " Eggleton interview former Matilda trailblazer Renaye Iserief in episode 37 of The Victory Wrap series.Renaye takes us through her journey where she was playing in the senior girl's side at only 14 years of age for Budgewoi Soccer Club. Renaye's exceptional striking skills and Football IQ were quickly noticed and she won Northern NSW Player of the Year in 1983 and made Matilda selection.
Renaye debuted in the Matilda's in the same year competing in the first ever Oceania Woman's Championships wearing Cap # 26 and subsequently earned 30 caps for Australia and scored an impressive 15 goals.
Since retirement Renaye keeps the memory of past Matildas alive being the unofficial CEO of the Matildas Alumni.
Renaye's story of her career in the game of Football is inspiring as she compares her journey of being a Matilda to the present-day Matildas and how she did it all for the love of the game and not much monetary gain.
