Today we interview Mayor Elect Erica Deuso, the first openly trans person elected to the Office of Mayor in the State of Pennsylvania. We had a great conversation about what being trans in politics looks like and how people are so much more than being trans. We discuss how she was elected to do a job and that is what she is focused on and believes that is what others should focus on, not on her being transgender. We discussed what the pathway to winning a mayorship race looks like.
