Description

In this honest and personal episode, I’m opening up about something that shaped so much of my life without me even realizing it: trauma responses — specifically freeze.

For years, I lived in a freeze response. I didn’t always know that’s what it was — I just knew I felt stuck, numb, and disconnected. It became my default. But the more I healed, the more I realized that what once protected me was now holding me back.

And here’s the truth I learned the hard way: sometimes healing means doing the opposite of what your body wants to do.
For me, movement became medicine.
Action became the breakthrough.

In this episode, I talk about all the trauma responses — fight, flight, freeze, and fawn — and how they silently shape our behaviors long after the trauma has passed. These responses aren’t wrong or bad. They’re your body’s way of saying “I’m trying to keep you safe.” But at some point, we have to pause and ask:
Is this still serving me? Or is it keeping me stuck in a loop I no longer need?

Sometimes it takes someone outside of us — a friend, a coach, a therapist — to lovingly hold up the mirror and reflect back what we can’t see on our own.

This episode is a gentle reminder that you are not broken. You are rewiring.
And that is sacred work.
