In part one of a three part series leading up to Easter Pastor Dustin Clegg leads us through Luke 23:32:43 and points out a few things about Jesus' forgiveness:
(1) Genuine forgiveness is nearly impossible apart from the Spirit ("Father...");
(2) Genuine forgiveness happens through a deep understanding of grace ("...forgive them...");
(3) Genuine forgiveness requires understanding and empathy ("...because they do not know what they are doing..."); and
(4) Genuine forgiveness preaches the Gospel in itself. (Luke 23:39-43, Matthew 27:38-44, and Mark 15:29-32)
