Today we start a new series as we explore the book of Galatians. Pastor Dustin Clegg walks us through chapter 1 verses 1-10 and has 2 observations: (1) Any addition to the Gospel is anti-gospel. We explored the question, "What is legalism?" Legalism is working for God's favor, working in our own power, and playing by our own rules. What is NOT legalism? Biblical expectations for all believers, Biblical boundaries for church leadership, and parallel accountability. (2) We cannot follow the Jesus of the Gospel if we are consumed with the thoughts of people. As the church we cannot be consumed with pleasing people.
How do we apply all of this? Search the Scripture for the heart of Jesus in all things, and follow hard after Him alone.
