Pastor Kirk Owens opens the Word to Matthew 7:13-23 and gives us three aberrations related to the narrow gate and the wide gate discussed in the passage: (1) "Enter" is a command from Jesus and we must respond by moving our trust into Him alone; (2) There is a wide gate that leads to death. Many and most folks go this route; And (3) Jesus is offering Himself as The Superior.... far more superior option.
Other scripture references include John 14:6, Acts 4:12, 1 Timothy 2:5, Genesis 3:8-12, and Romans 1:18-20.
How can we apply this? (1) Get toJesus and stay there.....trust Him alone. (2) Stop running and hiding. Repent from the fruit that's forbidden and killing you. And (3) Humbly remind yourself and others of the Gospel...... the BEST NEWS EVER!
