We pick up today in our study of the life of David in 1 Samuel 25. There are 3 things that Pastor Dustin Clegg would like for us to see in these verses:
(1) We need to be careful with our heroes;
(2) The 3 ways of the world:
(a) The foolish way. (Nabal) Evil for good.
(b) The normal way. (David) Evil for evil.
(c) The Gospel way. (Abigail) Good for evil.
(3) Sometimes our circumstances in one area of life can be projected into other areas of life.
How do we apply this to our lives?
(1) Remember who you are and who you want to be in Jesus. Our current circumstances will be our future stories.
(2) Create habits of grace in your life. And
(3) Have spiritual heroes, but be careful to make sure they are not exalted to the status of Jesus.
