Description

We continue today with our study of the life of King David as we look at 2 Samuel 11. Pastor Dustin Clegg offers only one observation: The enemy of our souls is crafty, but not creative.

Things we can take from the scripture for our understanding and that we can use as tools against the enemy:
1. We are more vulnerable in our boredom.
2. Sin is not the same as simply being human.
3. We can never sin enough to keep us satisfied.
4. Jesus speaks to us even when we don't want to listen.
5. Sin is almost always a group effort.
6. The normal response to sin is isolation and slipping further into the shadows.
7. Sin makes us cold.
8. Our sin always affects others.
9. Our sin disrupts the relationship Jesus wants with us.

Application for individuals: When we are tempted, think about how acting on our temptation is going to affect us and others.
Application for our church: Micah 6:8.
Jesus is a better "David". (Matthew 4:1-11)
