We continue in our series about worship as we look at Luke 7: 36-50 and explore what authentic worship is. We see that authentic worship of Jesus will always be questioned by those who are worshipping something else. We also see that "sinners" have a special insight on authentic worship, and that authentic worship is costly. And finally we see that authentic worship is always motivated by faith, hope, and love.
How do we apply it to our lives? (1) Be careful looking critically at the way others worship. (2) If you are a "sinner", do not be scared to do exactly what Jesus tells you to do. And (3) ask Jesus to give you a fresh, correct view of him and yourself.
