Today was a great day as we commissioned a couple of parents and were honored to witness a baptism. Pastor Dustin Clegg continued in the series, Who is Jesus?, as we studied the Gospel of John. Today we look at John 1:35-51 and explore a few things in this passage:
(1) Jesus expects us to become like Him.
a. The humility of John to send his disciples to Jesus;
b. Jesus says "Come and see". Phillip says "Come and see".
c. They told the people they know about Jesus, embracing His mission in their lives.
(2) Jesus calls us not what we are, but what He intends to mold us into. And
(3) Jesus pursues us in spite of knowing EVERYTHING about us.
