Today we continue in the series, Who is Jesus?, and as we look at John 7:40-8:2 Pastor Dustin Clegg shares the following observations:
(1) Good news will always be divisive (John 7:40-44);
(2) Jesus arrests with His words the people sent to arrest Him because of His words (John 7:45-49);
(3) The Judge allows Himself to be judged (John 7:50-52); and
(4) The Creator of Earth had no home in it (John 7:53-8:2).
How do we apply this?
(1) Don't be surprised when Good News causes conflict.
(2) Don't buy into the lie that your brokenness or anyone else's can dispel the love of the King of irony.
