Today we continue with the series, Who is Jesus?, as we look at John 2:13-25. Pastor Dustin Clegg emphasizes 3 things out of this passage:
(1) Some things should make us angry, but they need to be the same things that make Jesus angry;
(2) Jesus is a better Temple. We no longer go to a place to experience God, we go to a person.....Jesus; and
(3) We are all desperately evil and Jesus is completely aware of it.
How do we apply this to our lives?
(1) Be aware of the anger of Jesus directed at us when we block others from His presence or make it about what it's not;
(2) Remember that nothing ever really changed about our lives until we encountered the Life-Giving Temple called Jesus; and
(3) Be aware that we may have convinced ourselves that we are good when Jesus knows otherwise.
