We were blessed to be able to witness several of the ones who went to youth camp being baptized this morning and make their decision to follow Jesus public.
We continued with our study of the book of John and as Pastor Dustin Clegg led us through John 6:22-37 we see that (1) our work is to work out our belief in Him (John 6:22-29), and (2) that Jesus chooses us, but we must choose Him (John 6:30-37).
There are three applications today:
(1) Aim at Heaven and you will get earth thrown in. Aim at earth and you will get neither. -- C. S. Lewis
(2) Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. -- Paul (Philippians 2:12)
(3) Surrender to Jesus!
