Suicide rates among 10-14 years old kids have doubled in seven years (per the CDC). And, overall rates are on the increase. The highest suicide rates are found with Native Americans and middle-aged women. Whence come these increases? Although there are multiple reasons for suicide, the trends are rooted in ideas, messages, and modes (which bear their own messages). What is the Christian message most needed in a day of hopelessness, isolation, and emptiness?
