This reflection shows that love is more than emotion—it’s action. Mary responded to God’s love with trust, courage, and obedience, stepping into His plan even at great personal cost. In the same way, God’s love moved first toward us, coming through Bethlehem, through Mary’s yes, and ultimately through Jesus who laid down His life. Micah foretold a Shepherd-King who would bring peace, and Mary believed that promise. Advent love reminds us that when we encounter God’s initiating love, it reshapes us—moving us to respond with faith, action, and love toward others.
