JJ Navarrete is back home.
In this episode of the Woodburn Podcast, I sit down with Woodburn High School’s new head football coach and Class of 2002 graduate, JJ Navarrete.
We talk about how football became part of his life, how he got into coaching, his years coaching in Woodburn and at Gervais, and what it means to now come back home and lead the Bulldogs.
JJ also shares the emotion of coaching his first home game back at Woodburn, the importance of building a strong youth football program, and why he believes in the bigger message of “Team Woodburn.”
We also get into academics, accountability, respect, leadership, and preparing kids for more than just sports.
