In Hebrews 8–10, the writer shows us how Jesus fulfills what the old covenant, the tabernacle, and the sacrificial system had been pointing toward all along. God had promised through Jeremiah that a new covenant was coming; one in which His law would be written on our hearts and our sins would be remembered no more.
Jesus makes that promise a reality. As our great High Priest, He offers Himself as the perfect sacrifice, once for all time, opening the way for us to draw near to God with confidence.
