Suzanne Collins's Mockingjay is a book! And we're reading it! On a book podcast! Who knew??

But because it's a book, there are certain conventions and cultural thought patterns that need to be followed in order for it to communicate well, and well... we have thoughts. Jess, Katy, and Julia discuss how to identify lazy writing, logical character development, expressing themes through character behavior (and not just names), and whether or not the author might have a subconscious face fetish. 

We volunteer as tribute--repeatedly. We're diving into the world of The Hunger Games: all 5 books, all 6 movies breaking down the world, the characters, the feelings, that weird thing with the pearl, our hatred for Gale, our love for Haymitch, & more. All leading up to the theatrical release of Sunrise On The Reaping this November.
