Ferne Caldwell raises eight grandchildren and Anna Clare raises two.
Drug addiction, trauma and instability led these grandparents to take over the care for their grandchildren with no other option except for Oranga Tamariki (The Ministry for Children in NZ) to take them, they soon made the decision to step into this role in which they hadn't imagined. Both sacrifice their ripe years to be full time carers for their grandchildren and ensure their grandchildren grow up in a stable, loving home environment.
