Nevena (00:00)

Zdravo svima, ja sam Nevena.
Hello everyone, I’m Nevena.

Jelena (00:02)

Ja sam Jelena.
I’m Jelena.

Nevena (00:02)

I dobro došli u novu epizodu Unlock Your Serbian sa Jelenom i Nevenom.
And welcome to a new episode of Unlock Your Serbian with Jelena and Nevena.

Jelena (00:08)

That’s right, welcome to another episode of our podcast and today we are talking about friendships. We are talking about who our friends are and how we can find new friends. And if you don’t understand everything we are saying in this episode, you can read the transcript of this episode in Serbian and English. This transcript is on our Patreon, as well as grammar exercises and vocabulary with context from this episode. This is a good way to listen to our podcast and learn Serbian.

Nevena (01:08)

This is an interesting topic, because when people go to another country, for example from France to Serbia or from Russia to Serbia, they ask how can I find local friends? How can I find friends from Serbia if I don't speak Serbian well or if I'm learning, working, and don't have much time?

Jelena (01:44)

We say that people in Serbia are very friendly. We say they love to talk, love to hang out, and are generally open. This is also perhaps a stereotype. What do you think, Nevena? Are people in Serbia really open and friendly?
