Description

This message explains that Canaan is not a picture of heaven after death, but a picture of the deep rest and confidence a Christian can experience in this life. Just as Israel had to fight enemies even after entering Canaan, believers still face struggles, but now they fight with faith, knowing God provides for them and watches over their lives. The message encourages believers to move beyond doubt and fear into a settled trust in God, where they see every blessing as coming from Him and find peace in His constant care.

A sermon delivered by Charles Spurgeon on December 30, 1855.
