Description

When God’s people suffer, it isn’t punishment for sin—because Jesus already took that punishment—but rather loving correction from a Father to His children. God’s discipline helps believers grow, remove sin, and learn patience, even when it feels painful. Instead of complaining or giving up when hard times come, Christians should trust that God’s hand of love is guiding them for their good.

A sermon delivered by Charles Spurgeon on October 28, 1855.
