Description

The speaker describes how he once felt lost, guilty, and far from God, until he heard the words, "Look unto me, and be saved," and trusted God in that moment. He reminds us that God alone has real power, and all the things people trust instead of God eventually fall or fail. Salvation is not earned by effort or special rituals, but comes simply by turning our hearts toward God and trusting Him.

A sermon delivered by Charles Spurgeon on January 6, 1856.
