Description

This sermon teaches that sleep is more than physical rest—it is a precious gift from God to His beloved. Spurgeon explains different kinds of “sleep” God gives His children: the sleep of a quiet conscience, of contentment, of trust in the future, of security in His care, and finally the peaceful “sleep” of death in Christ. True rest comes not from wealth, ambition, or comfort, but from knowing God through Jesus Christ, who alone gives His people peace now and forever.

A sermon delivered by Charles Spurgeon on March 4, 1855.
