Laura Fies is the Executive Director of the USS Hornet Sea, Air & Space Museum, the Smithsonian-affiliated facility with a mission "to utilize USS Hornet and the collections, exhibitions, and educational programming to promote awareness and understanding of history, science, technology, and service."

Host Scott Piehler talks with Laura about the history of the CV-12, including WWII and the Apollo program, what it takes to keep the museum literally afloat, the spirits that may or may not inhabit the ship, and why a certain candy still aboard Hornet from decades ago might still be edible.
