Episode 8: This week we are chatting about why it can be challenging to apply conventional green design principles to smaller projects. We dive into the waste involved in renovations, how to think about selecting new materials, passive house strategies, and why building smaller is both more sustainable and also budget-friendly.  Ultimately, good design is sustainable design.

Our Good Building this week is the Ford Foundation Center for Social Justice, by the firm Roche Dinkeloo Associates in 1967 and renovated by Gensler in 2016.  Located in mid-town Manhattan, this is an architectural marvel of bringing-the-outside-in. Check out this masterclass in proportion and materiality.
