The last several years have uncovered corruption and failures in the Church at a horrifying rate. While it is good that these evil deeds are disclosed, the Church must remember the Gospel amid the pain and embarrassment, or everyone will lose hope. Jesus died for sinners, even those who already know His name. Jesus isn't surprised or overwhelmed by the scandals and disappointments; they are why He died. Now, more than ever, we need the unchanging Gospel.
