Ulrik Stonefellow warns his brothers about the goblins just before they are set upon by a horde. Fighting ensues with the brothers scraping through the chaos. Broony and Kilzar are both found after the attack, the militia suffers a heavy blow, and thieves are discovered among the conscripts. The band then make their way to the town of Lahest.
