Jonathan Edwards introduces us to David Brainerd (1718-1747), American missionary to the Delaware Indians of New Jersey, during the days of the Great Awakening. Edwards was entrusted with Brainerd's diary and history. Brainerd's successes and especially his victories over suffering, make him one we need to know.
