Description

Not every struggling teacher is a beginner finding their feet. Some are veterans who've stopped growing. There is a persistent problem of teacher underperformance across schools. Some educators show up unprepared year after year, who've lost their curiosity for learning, and who drain school resources while delivering mediocre results.

While systemic challenges allow chronic underperformance to persist, a more local approach is possible. Can schools afford to carry teachers who've given up? And what would it take to create accountability that actually works?
