More than a week after Nancy Guthrie, Savannah Guthrie's mother, vanished from her Arizona home in what may have been a kidnapping, authorities arrested someone to question.
Deputies from the Pima County Sheriff's Department "detained a subject during a traffic stop south of Tucson" and are interrogating the individual "in connection with the Nancy Guthrie investigation," USA TODAY reported. The individual's personal information has not been disclosed.
The FBI released images and footage from Nancy Guthrie's doorbell camera of a potential suspect recorded just hours before the case developed. The individual, who was wearing gloves and a ski mask and appeared "armed," according to FBI Director Kash Patel, has not been legally identified.
