Here is another City Builders episode
This is the second episode in a new series called CITY ELEMENTS. The focus is on Pubs as 3rd places in cities. How important are they in an urban environment?
Inspired by the ritual of going to pubs and bars on St Patricks day, Mark and Dorian thought it was fitting to discuss the importance of the public house in cities. This episode was completed around the St. Patricks day annual celebration, and premiered on St. Patricks Day.
Included in the episode, are pubs that Mark and Dorian have personally visited, as well as the ones that have become personal 3rd places.
In this episode, City Builders, Mark and Dorian discuss public houses that they found distinct and worthy of note. These include establishments in cities of the UK, Europe, Toronto, Detroit, and Windsor, Canada. They dive into 3rd places, their tie to cities and their importance as part of the urban experience.
How has the Pub enhanced urban life for centuries, and remain an important "third place" in our current world.
Come along with Mark and Dorian on a light hearted discussion about the Pub as an urban element and how it connects to our built environment.
