In Acts 12, we don’t just see a persecuted apostle, we see a praying church. While Peter is locked in a prison cell, the church is on its knees; while guards stand watch, God’s people gather in one accord before the throne of grace. Peter sleeps between soldiers, but the church stays awake, praying without ceasing.
