The president is cornered, and his behavior shows it. In a stunning reversal, Trump has begun publicly praising the Clintons, calling Hillary "capable" and "smart," and saying he "still likes" Bill Clinton, just as they prepare to testify about the Epstein files. The same man who led "Lock her up!" chants for years is now complimenting the Clintons, a clear sign of damage control.

Meanwhile, the economy is in freefall. The Dow dropped 593 points, the Nasdaq has gone red for the year, and Bitcoin crashed more than 10% in a single day. January brought more than 108,000 layoffs — the worst start to a year since 2009. Private sector hiring barely moved, and jobless claims are spiking.

As the administration struggles, Trump is praising authoritarian leaders like Viktor Orban while threatening allies and posting wild threats on social media. The Washington Post just laid off a third of its newsroom with more than 300 journalists gone. Independent media is more critical than ever.

History shows us what happens when authoritarian leaders start to lose control. They do not back down — they double down. The walls are closing in. We are not letting up. Daily posts on Substack at heatherdelaneyreese.substack.com.
