This is your Week 24 Igbo language practice session from Igbo Daily Drops — 15 sentences learnt over the past week in Igbo daily drops, built for real-life use. Commands, requests, questions, and the kind of warm, human phrases that make the difference between knowing a language and living in it.
Work through each sentence at your own pace. You will hear it once, then again — then it is your turn. The sentences this week move from saying where you are located, who you are , to asking who others are.
The Igbo sentences we learnt this week are :
Obi dị m ụtọ — I am happy.
Ọ na-achị ọchị — He/She is laughing.
Anyị na-enwe anụrị — We are having fun.
Gịnị mere iwe ji ewe gị? — Why are you angry?
Ị kpasụrụ m iwe. — You made me angry.
Biko, ewela iwe. — Please, don't be angry.
Ụjọ na-atụ m — I am afraid
Ụjọ anaghị atụ m — I am not afraid
Ọ bụ onye obi sịrị ike — You are a brave person
Ike gwụrụ m — I am tired
Agụụ na-agụ m — I am hungry
Biko, nye m nri maka na agụụ na-agụ m — Please give me food because I am hungry
A bụghị m onye iwe ọkụ — I am not a bad-tempered person
Ewela iwe maka obere ihe — Don't be angry over a small thing

This is the language your family carried. Now it is yours to carry too.
