Description

Cops run toward what everyone else runs from. But who’s checking on them when they get home?

Matt Stone spent 15 years in law enforcement. He saw things most of us never will, and he carried them home. He lost friends to suicide and overdoses. And for a long time, he didn’t say a word.

Then he found a way to start talking. On the golf course.

Matt is the founder of Playin Thru, a podcast and nonprofit built to break the stigma around men’s mental health. He takes the conversation out of the therapist’s office and onto the course, where guys actually open up. He’s played rounds with everyday men and pro athletes like Dontrelle Willis, Ryan Dempster, and Theo Fleury, having the conversations most men avoid.

In this episode we talk about:

If you’re a first responder, love one, or you’re just a guy who’s been holding it together a little too long, this one’s for you.

It’s okay to not be okay. But don’t stay there.
