Most bands work off an 80/20 split based on gross merchandise sales. You roll the dice and hope fans spend money at the table.
ICP flipped it.
They’d come in and offer a flat amount per head. Guaranteed money. No guessing. No wondering if fans would buy. Promoters looked at the number and thought, “Done.” It removed the risk.
And they still made a killing.
