This introductory episode presents the purpose of the podcast series preparing for the Archdiocesan Congress on Youth, Family and Faith taking place from 20–22 March 2026. It introduces the Preparatory Document, which gathers the insights from recent years of prayer, listening and consultation across parishes, schools and communities in the Archdiocese of Armagh.
Drawing on the introduction by Archbishop Eamon Martin, the episode reflects on the significance of this moment for the Church as it journeys toward the 1600th anniversary of the arrival of Saint Patrick in Ireland in 2032. Inspired by Patrick’s missionary courage, the Church in Armagh is invited to reflect on how the Gospel can be lived and shared in today’s world.
The episode also outlines the focus of the Congress on Youth, Family and Faith, and introduces the themes and priorities contained in the preparatory document. These podcasts are intended to help delegates prepare spiritually and practically for the conversations and discernment that will take place during the Congress.
