Today we are studying Acts Chapter 1. In this chapter, Jesus appears to His disciples after His resurrection and prepares them for what is to come. He speaks about the kingdom of God, promises the coming of the Holy Spirit, and gives them their mission. Jesus says in Acts 1:8, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” We also see His ascension into heaven and the disciples waiting in unity and prayer. This chapter reminds us that we are called, empowered, and sent to share the gospel.
