Today, we’re answering an important question: why do we use the PRAISE system when studying Scripture? More than that, how does this approach transform the way we read, understand, and live out God’s Word? It’s easy to read the Bible and walk away unchanged, but God never intended His Word to remain information—it is meant to bring transformation. James 1:23–24 reminds us that hearing the Word without acting on it is like looking in a mirror and forgetting what we saw. God’s Word is living and active, as Hebrews 4:12 says, able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. The PRAISE system helps us engage with Scripture in a way that leads to real change. It slows us down, focuses our attention, and leads us to apply what we read. Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path.” This method helps us walk in that light daily.
